It spreads pretty fast. I got tired of looking at it so I finally bought a new one.

I think my truck was made in Mexico... it says made in Mecico everywhere.

I didn't get a chance to call Tasca. Will do it first thing in the morning. Somehow it just simply slipped my mind.

Well, I called them and they found their mistake. I got the small emblem in today with a FPN: F81Z-8213-AB which superceeded to FPN: 5C3Z-8213-AA then now to FPN: F81B-8B262-AA. Whew! If you see any of those part numbers above, THEY ARE NOT FOR 2004-2008 NEW BODY STYLE TRUCKS!

I'm getting the right one in the mail along with a free return shipping label. When I get the right one, I'll post the part number.

They found their mistake when I called them last week too. Maybe they use that cheap emblem as a hook and bait. You think you are getting a good deal, then they tell you the one you actually need costs almost double.

It only costs something like $31.xx for the different emblem. Ok, maybe a little bit of hook and bait. But if you look on any other Trademotion site, it shows this emblem.

It's not Tasca's fault that Trademotion is wrong. I've found Trademotion wrong on a lot of stuff lately. If you go to the 2009-10 trucks, you will find the correct emblem with the two little nuts that attach it to the grill.

This fellow Dave from Tasca even told me it was a common problem and he was ticked that it happened again.

I did inform him that it was being publicized on F150online, and I even referred him to this thread.... So no one else gets burnt.

Should've asked him for the FPN too... oh well, the right one is on it's way. I'll post it when I get it, and take pictures.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Yes part number 4L3Z1542528AB worked.

They are actually Made in Italy. Interesting.

Note the new one having an adhesive backing. I didn't bother with it, just in case it happens again. It's much easier removing it without the sticky stuff. I left the blue plastic on, especially since you don't see it. It is held on by 2 10mm ez-thread nuts that require a deep socket.

Here's some pictures:

If you did'nt get your emblem let me know. I have one still attached to my OEM grill. I replaced my grill with the Roush. Been sitting in the garage for 2 years now. Truck is a 08 model & I took it off one month later.
