Why in the world would you ruin the beautiful classic looks of an 86 with a new front end.

Coversion Kit

O.K. Sorry but I have to do it!
It's called a trade in/or trade up modification.
See your local Ford dealer for more info.!
Sorry couldn't help myself.

so want parts to bolt up to it? why not just to restore it to its factory condition and add on your personal tastes to it...and i think to make it look modern u gotta hack it up its a 25 year old vehicle...how new do u want it?

Hey vette, why dont think out of the box and use a 67-69 grille with a custom front roll pan. That way you have round lights and a big grille?
Just an idea, because with the style of your truck the "new" front end would throw off the porportions of the bed... but don't let anyone bust your bubble!!
I am also wanting to change my front end...hey what about using a 98 front end on yours??

Leave it alone, don't mess with it. Anything newer wouldn't look good nor worth the time/effort. If anything restore it, its a classic

I love those old trucks.

Don't mess up your truck... Make it a like new 86.

I had a 1982, f150. I miss that truck.

the truck is mint not scratches nothing. im the second owner and ive owned it for bout 5months ill put up some pics of it. its baby blue on top and bottom and white in the middle. has all the chrome trim still intack and still shinning. interior has no cracks so missing screws electric windows stillwork perfect. there is only one issue i have with it right nwo. and thats that the transmission clunks when i floor it.it will take off and go but when the rpms get up to about 2k it clunks really hard. and would a 98 front end fit on it

If it's in mint condition why touch it? I would keep it all original. Buy a junker if you want to try something like that. If you buy a junker you are going to have to do a lot of work to it anyways and with yours being mint it's not that much work. just IMO.

i used to have a 78 f150 custom. had the round headlights but it had a 75 grill on it for some reason. so it said ford twice. one on the hood(78) and one on the grille(75). i was looking for a 78 grille for it becasue it looked so much better. it was a 78 f150 custom 2wd 351W with a 4spd manual. have no clue what the rear end was but 3rd topped out at about 35mph and 4th went to about 90mph. i was told it was a logging truck in oklahoma. i was the 3rd person in my family to own it but not the 3rd overall. i got it with 255k with the engine rebuilt at 100k. sold it with 285k. front main seal went in last 15 miles i drove it. was picking up the extra wheels and rear hatch for my 89 firebird i bought the day before and on the way there the seal went. even the back bumper was dripping oil. but that truck was awesome.
