Sorry to tell you...Although not for Ford trucks, a company called www.Emblempros.com is already making these for 2010 Camaros and 98-02 Trans Am and Firebirds/Camaros, only reason I know this is because I own a ford truck and a trans am and have already seen their pics, they are awesome too, FWIW.

Haha yeah there are plenty illuminated door sills out there for other trucks but looking at the price makes me lol. I had all my tools in my garage so i did this for under $30 including the LEDs

So I'm assuming that the 09+ door sills don't fit the 04-08s?

Looks good danny!!

Question though, how did you apply the wax paper? I missed that step, sorry.

As for those of us with diamond plate plastic, I'm gonna make my own F150 stencil and simply trace it from the back or under side of the plate. Not sure how I'm going to fill it in with the epoxy yet, you know, where you actually cut into the raised part of the diamond or ridge. Its not going to be easy, but I gotta try. Good idea danny, way to go!

Yeah, as stated in my previous post, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that. I'm sure it's going to be a major PITA.

04-08 are most likely diamond plate, 09+ has "FORD".

To the OP
Excellent work, and my hat 's of to you. It takes a steady hand to to that sort of work with a moto tool

I would have had to use a straight edge for the straight line, and cut templates and a collar on the tool to do the rest.

Great mod
