i havent seen one, but just a possible idea. if you have the puddle lights on your mirrors, do they light up when the interior lights up as well or only when you first unlock the truck?

research this site for puddle lamp, running board lights, or even AMP research steps.

I can possibly look up a diagram on Monday for you if needed

look at the door switch that controlls that pesky chimer, trace it to the loom that comes out of door to kick panel
excellent idea you have
good luck

On my 04 scab the the door ajar switch connector has two pins one black for the ground, one black with yellow. that trips the dome, chime alarm. Only other closest is either the dimmer or headlite switch. I tapped headlite harness lastnite for blue led footwell lights. works when I turn on park lites. pin 2 on dimmer is dome. orange with light green. I know that we do not have same year truck, but it may help.
I can send all diagrams if needed.

Definitly doing this hope it works out. Where did you get the initial FORD plate from though?

Hey i just got back from watching predator! Good movie! I will be installling the lights tomorrow for sure and will definetly have pictures of them illuminated in the dark. I will try to find those wires. I found my dimmer switch and popped it out but there was a harness with 3 wires going out and i treied it really quick but didnt spend much time investigating it. I have plenty of wire left over from PA system install ( post pics later) so if i must i will connect to the dome lights.

the plates actually came with the truck. But i suggest printing out letters on a thick paper like a manilla folder, cuting them out and sharpie outline it to your dooor plate. I am going to do this on the 2 rear ones so the front 2 will say FORD and the back 2 will say F150.
