Painting my trim
****UPDATED PICS****
Well I removed almost all my plastic trim pieces and I started painting them. Here are a few pictures. I will get some tomorrow once they are installed.

I've heard of guys going both ways on the clear. Some don't feel its worth it and get a good couple years out of it and would rather just repaint. I'm debating doing mine as well and haven't decided what I would do.
I actually grew up in Schertz right near Randolph as well. Very familiar with the Cibolo area. Been here my whole life. Now I live over off of 1604 and Judson. How long have you lived in the area?

Looks really good... Nice job.. Did you remove your rear fender flares too? If so can you explain how you did it? I figured out how to get the fronts off but not the rears.. I want to get the bottoms of mine painted where my mudflaps destroyed them but i dont wanna get them painted on the truck.. Thanks..
The rears come off the same way but you have some additional body rivets to remove that go upwards from the bottom. I just cut those stupid plugs rather than risk breaking the plastic. You can get replacement body rivets at autozone for 3.99 for 15.

I would be careful if you do decide to do a clear coat. I did my bed rails a few weeks back and went the whole nine yards in prep work(adhession promotor, priming, sanding, etc.) and everything looked professional. I was really proud of the job. Then the clear coat came and it looked like complete crap. My inexperience with never using a clear coat spray can may have contributed to this though.
I updated the pics above showing the stuff installed. In all I painted 4 fender flares, 4 mud flaps, 4 trim pieces by flares, wiper cowl, wiper arms, tail gate handle and tail gate cover.
Below are some shots of my really bad bed rails. These will be done later along with my door handles.

I'd recommend doing the clear. NCSU painted his wiper cowl a year or two ago. He did half with clear and half without to see what it would do. Now one side is faded (non-clear) and the other side (with clear) looks like the day he painted it.
You did a great job painting them, though. Smart to take them all off.
