Mag-Hytech Diff Cover Installed
No, it's not strictly an appearance thing however it was the main reason why I went with the Mag-Tech. It's suppose to run cooler per design of the cooling fins and has a larger capacity like aak625 said. Has a dipstick and a syphon hole for fluid change. As far as durability goes it's much more heavier than the oem. The stock cover is pretty thin and was bending when I was taking it off. The Mag can't bend, miles above the oem. It also has a channel that the rubber seal sits in so there's no need for any adhesives when installing. Just make sure the housing is clean of any old sealant and smooth. Torqued to 16 ft lbs. Took me about 1.5 hours to do but really could be done in much less time.
Thanks man

this is the info I need to 'justify' the expense. And it sound well 'justified'!
Just FYI, a flush and a drain/refill are not the same thing. Transmissions and coolant systems are the only places you should ever see a flush used, and most of the time a simple drain and refill would have been fine.
Cover looks good though. I want to do one when I do the rear end service. I would like a MH transmission pan too.
