Something is wrong with that price. I paid 325 for my power/signal/heat mirrors from tasca parts. Order then individually.

Running a wire for the puddle lamps is not a problem at all.

What is included in the above kit? Is this a direct bolt-on kit that you guys have put together for these trucks? Im very interested if so, and know others that will be.

Thanks,

this kit is only intended to convert standard power mirrors to telescopic mirrors with power glass.

Matt,

So what does it include? The kit is $120 roughly above the price of just the mirrors, it appears. Several folks on the f150online.com forum are interested in these kits, possibly. Thanks for your help.

David

I'll keep ya'll posted as I lear more.

And I just got a reply from Matt:

David it appears that this is a differnt mirror in the end it does not have the big top mirror and the little mirror on the bottom like all of the tow mirrors.i have not sold any of these kits . if you were to purchase two new tow mirrors you are still going to save money and have a new mirror instead of converting your mirrors currently.

Matt

So that basically clears up that issue.

So, basically there are no telescoping trailer mirrors for an '06 that are only power?

BTW, thanks for all your work on this.

There are none w/ just power & telescoping. The best option is the Power, Heat, Signal & Puddle Lamp. They are listed below. Remember all mirrors from 2004-2010 are interchangeable. You just might have to do a little wiring but I also included the wiring diagram here in this thread. If any of you guys want to order a set, drop me an e-mail to jlaliberte@tasca.com

Telescoping Trailer Tow Mirrors

Power, Heat, Signal & Puddle Lamp-Black
(RH) 7L3Z-17682-AE - $134.75
(LH) 7L3Z-17683-AE - $134.75

Power, Heat, Signal & Puddle Lamp-Chrome
(RH) 9L3Z-17682-EA - $170.21
(LH) 9L3Z-17683-EA - $170.21

Power, Heat, Signal & Puddle Lamp-“Paint to Match”
(RH) 9L3Z-17682-CAPTM - $308.40
(LH) 9L3Z-17683-CAPTM - $305.70

thanks,

Thanks, I found a 42 page thread about the wiring changes needed. I just need to move pin 8 to the new 9 position and everything but puddle lamps will work, if I have wiring included for turn signals, which it seems some trucks do not.

What year is your truck? It really depends on the year of the truck to determine what you have to change.

I have a 2007, and I ended up not having to switch anything. I didn't even need to run a wire for the puddle lamps. I just bolted it up and plugged it in and everything worked.

It's a 2006. It has grounds in positions 2,8, and (possibly 11). The new mirrors have a ground in location 9. 11 on the new trucks is the puddle lamps on the new trucks.

Heated mirror help.

I know that this is a bit of an old thread, but I have to ask. Does any body know if I need a relay to make the mirror heat work. I installed a set of the telescoping tow mirrors on my 07 that have the heat option. The truck originally did not have heated mirrors but the correct wire color is there on both plugs for the heat. If I get the correct control that has the third button for the heat, is there a relay that I will also have to install to make it work?
Thanks in advance for the help.

06 F150 Supercab XLT Telescoping Tow Mirrors

I installed mine with just the power mirrors working for now. On a nice worm dry day I will install the wires needed for the heat ( by then I will not need it ), turn signal and puddle light. I went to the junk yard ( my Son did really ) and picked up a few pig tails for the missing pins needed. Only paid a few bucks for them there. Here is what they look like on my truck.
