I just got finished with mine couple weeks ago. I used some decent lb fishing line and a hairdryer(I used a heat gun) and heat the emblem up carefully and work the fishing line behind the emblem until it comes off. This may take a few trys just go easy on the heat. I then got some 3M Adhesive Remover and got the old adhesive off of the fender.

I painted my badges with satin black Krylon paint for plastic. I sanded it with 800 grit paper before hand, and then did a few very light coats of paint. then let dry and hit it with about 3 coats of clear (Duplicolor) and wet sanded in between the coats.

I got my emblems and decided to do them seperately, I did the small letters first. I just cut them out with an exacto knife. I got a old spray bottle and filled it with a few drops of dish soap and filled it up with some water. I sprayed the emblem down with the solution and worked the inlays into position and applied some heat and worked the bubbles out, (**just make sure you don't put too much soap in the bottle, learned the hard way its a pain to get it to dry up). I did this process on to the other emblems until I was complete.

I believe it is much easier to do it this way off the truck b/c you can take your time and have it set down right in front of you on a workbench or table. Very easy this way.

To re-apply the emblems I used the 3M Red Adhesive Tape :

Can be bought at Wally World or any auto parts store

PM me if you have any questions

I got the same message. After sending 3 Emails with 2 different accounts in 12 hours I got a reply. I wasn't expecting a reply because of the messages. All Emails after that I had no problems with. Very nice people to deal with.

You could always find them on facebook. When I got that message I was already a fan of Patriot decals so I messaged them over facebook for added insurance on them getting my email.

Glad they found a loophole....FORD needs to stop pissing off the aftermarket community for their vehicles or buyers are going to go elsewhere.

DO NOT DO THIS!!! Ruined a set and contacted them (of course, my blunder but Cindy still replaced them) They come to you on clear tape so just line them up and press them into place. The good thing is if you mess up a letter, you can buy another cheap! DO NOT USE ANY "WET" METHOD ON THE INLAYS!! It says not to on the instructions...

I think he misread what you did and thinks that you used the 3M tape to attach the inlays to the badges. What you really did was used the tape to attach the emblem back to your fender after painting it.

No harm, no foul. I had several members tell me to do it that way and it worked for me. I could do it with out worrying about screwing it up on the first try.

I just got my order in the mail today from them - a whole whack load of stuff! Redoing all the crappy inlays on the 06 f350, some custom ovals, steering wheel emblems, and for anyone with a King Ranch, they CAN still do the running 'W' symbol! I was worried with all the "ford" crap! Hope they all go on well - it'll take me a while!!

And yes, they have exceptional customer service - had to join facebook and send them a message though to get an email through! Cindy is GREAT!!
