Hids strange problem
Should be through warranty; DDM offers lifetime on their products from what I am seeing.
Do you have fog lamps where you have installed their HID Kit as well? If so you may want to see what their extra wiring harness can do. They suggest the harness on the 55watt applications as well as muiltiple installations of the 35watt.

But like you stated, most of the 55W kits will come with a relay harness of some type. I'd not, I'd highly suggest in investing in one to save yourself the hassle.
Most 35W applications won't necessarily need the extra wore harness, since halogen bulbs usually run around 40-45W, which is more than the HIDs. Thus the stock wiring should be sufficient.

I ran into this same problem today. I contacted DDM and im still waiting for them to get back to me. Except my twist, i'll turn the high beams on, they both shut off. But sometimes, when I switch it back to low's, my passenger side light, doesnt illuminate. So I switched the ballast around, and it does the exact same thing for the driver side now. I suspect a ballast problem, but i'll see what they say.
