Attachment tabs on grille are gone...

I see some grilles that I like on ebay, But they state that the tabs are grounded off or broken off...

Can they still be mounted safely or it can't be mounted to the surround at all now??

thanks....

If the tabs are broke that means it wont be as secured, and it was un-installed with impatient aggression. The proper way to remove them is to use a heat gun enough to bend the tabs back. I would avoid buying a grill with too many tabs broke.

Only a couple you'll be alright. But all of them or only two un-broke, dont bother haha.

im assuming you are talking about the 04-08 era....i broke all the bottom tabs off my stock grille when replacing it with the roush aftermarket grillle but honestly i don't think it'll make a big difference (the thing is still bolted down eventually and i don't really know any other way of getting it off)...the grille isn't going to be flying off down the the road and will still look good IMO....the 09 grille is much easier to remove and can be done without any real force or breakage!
