Black would definitely be my opinion. Too much chrome can start to look gaudy IMHO...black is much more understated and subtly cool.

 

It depends what u like best get what u like is yo ride i will say chrome but not tooo much im from Houston 2 and theres way 2 many black trucks out here!! but is your truck sooo....

I agree with what most are saying about the blacked out trucks, its a bit over played (especially recently). I prefer to use both, as long as you make the right things chrome and the right things black.

I like wheels that have chrome but have a black or gun metal accent on them. I like a nice chrome exhaust tip and running boards or truck emblems can all stay chrome. I think if its done like that it doesnt look bad. Its when people start putting chrome handles and door seems and chrome everything then it looks bad.

Just mix it up and make it unique!

 

Okay, Im thinking since there is little to no chrome on the truck right now that I am going to go with chrome nerf bars with the biggest black footsteps I can find and then I really like 08stx4x4's brush guard or a black bull bar, and maybe black out the headlights.

Once I get some cash to afford all this Ill post some pics.
