Tint questions!

I am looking into tinting my whole truck. Originally I was just gonna get a generic window tint but when I went into the shop I was introduced to ceramic tinting? Apparently it keeps out heat and harmful UV rays? The guy demonstrated to me by putting a heat lamp up to a normal tinted window and then the ceramic window and surprisingly almost all the heat was cut out. God knows there could be more to this story so was hoping someone that has experience with this stuff could answer some questions. Hopefully it is true because having a black truck in Texas can get pretty hot.

First off, Does it actually work?
Does it last?
There are two brands available in the area; Huper Optik, and GeoSheild, which is better?
What should I expect to pay to tint my whole truck?
Should I just tint my front windsheild with it? (considering thats where it gets the hottest)
And Finally, Is it worth it?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

no experience with ceramic window tint but it does cost a little more....I know my window tint cuts the light and heat input drastically....I wouldnt consider ceramic unless I lived in a very sunny state where it would be benificial for the extra cost.

I'm assuming it comes with a lifetime warrants like typical window tint.

Yeah, make sure you have a reputable shop with a good warranty that is planning to be around for a while yet. It's up to you whether the added cost is worth it. I just had my sunroof and front/rear sides tinted for $200. I didn't do the windshield, but if you don't have any worries about the local PD, go for it.

I have the ceramic tint on my front windows. Seems to be doing a good job for me. I didn't tint the rears since the factory tint seems to do an adequate job.
