Question about Hella LED tail lights....
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get out there yesterday and take my taillight apart to take some pics.........got a frickin' cold that has me coughing up my lungs.
BUT, I remembered some pics that I had taken of the taillights after I had put the LEDs in.
In this pic, from johnnyd, you can see the plates I was talking about, now these are held in place by four screws. The wires you see coming out of the bottom opening are the wires that go to the assembly for the reverse lights. Once you take off the plate, you simply turn the assembly about a quarter turn and pull slowly and the reverse bulb will slide right out.

You'll come to find that the bulbs are 921's, the same as your cargo lights. These pics are what the bulbs look like once installed....if you look closely, you will notice that the opening and see that it isn't too much bigger than the 921 bulb.

I agree. You figure, for the price, since they went through the trouble puttin' in all those LEDs that a few more for those reverse bulbs wouldn't of hurt anything. Oh well...
I still love my Hellas.
