headlight covers

back in the day when i was a punk i had a 99 f150 all black with black headlight covers, should have never got rid of it but 4 door picksup were the newest thing and i had to get one of them, so now days i got a 06 f150 king ranch, just wonderin how good black headlight covers would look on it, its about the only thing i dont like about the new body style trucks is the headlights, also anyone know where to find out if there illegal, im almost sure there prolly illegal in minnesota. like i said b4 just wonderin if it would look pretty sweet on a copper king ranch or not.

thanks.

There are plenty of threads here about how to black out your heads - and there are black aftermarket heads on ebay and elsewhere. While I personally don't like the look - that seems to me a better alternative to those snap on back covers.

I used to have AVS headlight covers on the stang...took them off. They are not LEGAL anywhere. Offroad use only and cut down on light output at night time. I would suggest if you want them slightly darker that you use VHT Niteshades and do a couple light coats and then polish....this will darken them up a little bit but still leave you with light output.

I've got a set on the truck I just bought. They are not full covers, they have holes for the light beams and the tun signal on the side. They look good, but they are a cheaper look than painting your lights. I'm going to paint mine this spring when it warms up around here. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
