don't think so. i'd be pretty wary painting that as it looks like its an area susceptible to flexing and cracking. try Black WOW. B2B sucks.

 

Something I've always used to treat (keep flexible) is a silicone spray from Motorcraft. I use this on all rubber pieces, keeps them black plus flexible. A good spot is on the cv boots too, they dry out, crack and or make squeek noises.
