While you are right that Tint will "Set Up" faster in the summer, as long as it's quality ceramic based tint, you can do it in the winter fine - it just takes longer to dry. For example, it may take 3 to 4 days to dry in the summer, while it may take a week or so in the winter. That being said if it's 20 degrees outside are you really going to roll down the windows anyway?
Basically don't let that stop you from tinting it sooner!
Thanks for the input! Guess That's another thing on the to do list here pretty soon.

As for the wheels, don't worry about it, just whenever you get time.

I'm really procrastinating now but....

When you get the tint like I said make sure it's Ceramic based. Some places will have lifetime warranty on some if not all of there tints. Ceramic is the highest end, and it will last the longest. The lower end styles are Metallic based. If you've ever seen an older car or truck with tint that's peeling really bad, bubbling or turning purple you can bet it's the metallic based stuff. Ceramic is more expensive, but it wont do that.

Basically...
Professionally done (at a reputable shop) = Ceramic
Wal-Mart = Metallic

Sorry for the rant, but if you do it right the first time the tint will last longer than the truck! Why spend your money twice?

Ya I know what you're sayin. There's a place I went to a few weeks ago and they said it was goin to be $200 to do it. Does that seem reasonable?

I would put smoked OEM tails on because those euros are freaking hideous. Truck is in too perfect of exterior condition to mess with the exterior. But do tint it.

I'd offer $150 cash for the tint job, those windows aren't real big in your truck to cost $200 or so.

If the truck was a darker color I'd go with smoked but I don't think smoked would go good with my color. What about these lights? They don't look quite as "ricey" as the ones I got now.

On the tint...

Do you have a slider in your rear window?
If you don't $200 is still cheap for a extended cab, normally it'd be like $250.
With a slider I'd say $275-$300. Now for this price you sure as hell better be getting a lifetime warranty! That's what's I'm basing the price off of.

On the chop...

Okay, so I'm really not happy with the quality on this. Not that I'm that great anyway, but hopefully it helps:

I shaved your side mouldings, along with doing your rocker panels with bed liner.

I think smoked would look quite nice with white and some tan.

Your original photo

My photoshopped remake with your current tails smoked, and tint, and some color fixes in your picture.

RE: DarrenWS6

I was thinking about doing something like that, but I'm way too tired.
Glad you did it though, I can see it and I didn't have to do any work!

The only other thing that I was thinking about was almost a Saleen Style Black Tailgate insert. Just to blend the taillights together. Maybe Leave the Ford Script Chrome, as well as the Chrome trim on the bottom. Everything else...
Food for thought anyway....

Thanks Animated, I like that wheel and tire combo! As for the rear window, it's not a slider.

Darren, I love it! Guess I'm gonna start lookin at smoked taillights now lol. I really didn't think it'd look that good smoked but I really like it. Thanks!!

No problem. Black goes very well with tan or white, since you have both and your truck has more black areas to it the smoked tails would blend in well. Good luck.
