has anyone installed the recon led amber bar lights on the side of an 04-08 f150, ive been wanting to put them on my 08 but never can see how they mount up under the truck by the running board, if anyone has any info please let me know and if u have them send pics thanks



i know how they can mount to the superdutys but i want to know how to mount them to my f150

 

I did them on the side of my truck but placed them where they weren't that noticeable during the day and I didn't hook up the running light just the turn signal. I like the way they worked out, I don't have signal mirrors so this was an alternative. They come with brackets and self tapping screws simple install. I should have my camera back Thursday I'll post pics.

From what the install direction say it seems like you would mount them to the seem that runs under your truck, kinda like a lip, maybe 1/2 inch that hangs down.

 

yea the superdutys have that seem but on my 08 f150 it just goes stright under, there is no seem, i think i may have to custom make a piece for it

 

There is a guy on here with a flareside that is running them. I haven't seen him on in a while, though

 

oh really, id like to see how he has his mounted on his truck

Thanks. How the vents are mounted, or the lights? The lights are mounted with little brackets and self-tapping screws. The fenders are from RK Sport and the box vents are from 3D Carbon. I cut and hole and used 3M tape for the box vents.
