Goo Gone

Hey guys, any harm in using the product Goo Gone to remove sticker adhesive on my paint?

Dont think so...but test it on a small spot out of the way to see what it does first.

As long as you don't just spray it on the paint, you are fine. Just put some on a soft cloth and wipe. Using that method, you can even use naphtha (lighter fluid) without harming anything. I have had better luck with the naphtha for the residue than with Goo Gone.

They have Automotive grade Goo Gone at Autozone.

i just used the 4 dollar a bottle stuff and it worked great! i finally got rid of that annoying dealer sticker and the tailgate looks clean now. it worked flawlessly and i washed it down with soap and water immediately after using it. can't even tell there was anything there to begin with. thanks guys!

In that case it's fine to use on paint, just be sure to wash it off so there is no greasy residue.

I've used WD-40 to take off the dealer sticker off my tailgate with no problems.

I used Goo Gone Grafitti Remover on my van. Had about 13 sq ft of vinyl decals which I used a heat gun and putty knife to remove. Once the vinyl was off the gluey residue was still there. The graffiti remover worked great. Paint's fine.

WD-40 works great.. I've removed dealer stickers and debadged my previous truck with it.

WD-40 and 90% isopryl (rubbing) alcohol is the best. Goo Gone is just a commercialized waste of money

I just went to the car wash and used the pressure washer and it peeled mine off instantly
