jsvo5695 i know its to late now but Ive seprated my handles from the buckets a few times and is very easy if you have the right instructions. I have a GREAT .pdf and probably mailed it out 25 times to members here in the forums on how to change them out. If anyone still needs a copy e-mail me. I'll try and scan it and place it in my gallery and more pics when i changed mine out and the tools.

Glad someone has instructions, i have done it but im pretty bad at explaining how to do something like that without pics lol.

Dont be scared, pry the sucker loose, it wont break.

I pulled the pin out, then started to pry on one end of the gear and it came off.
took quite a bit of force and the spring doesnt have that much tension like it seems it does.

Post some pics when your done.

how does the handle differ?
I was positive they used the same handle on both electric and manual lock models

there is a little silver rotating lock piece that is on the manual lock. and there is a pin the runs through the spring. on the photo it showed that you just pop the plastic out, on mine you have to push out the pin. it wasn't to hard. it's just fun realigning the pin and the spring.

The pics shown were probably for a pass side door with no manual cylinder, but the power lock trucks have one cyl on the drivers door too.

Im just curious to see just how much they do differ.

Anyway, where the pics at?
