2 per side is likely more than plenty. most tool boxes only have one per side.
edit, i called De zee, and spoke wth dee, lol. She said the DZ -8163 N will fit a 99 stepside, add a (b) for the black version

What model of UWS low profile boxes did you guys get? I am looking for a Low Profile Black box for the '09 that I am going to get. UWS seems like the most solidly made and the best choice on the market now.
