glass tinter

Im lookin to tint my off road lights that are behind my grill. its easy to see them cuz of the shiny stuff in the light itself. i want to tint the glass on the outside so you can only see them when up close or when theyre on...

any ideas on brands or if yall have an exrta can or two you dont want and are willing to ship to me would be wonderful

if theres a how-to on how to tint thatd be good to since ive never done it before. thanks a million guys!

VHT niteshades or testors transparent black both can be purchased from hobby stores or Ebay.

for tinting them refer to my LED tails I just did unless you want a more matt finish. I would do 2-3 light coats max or you will lose significant light output.

and instead of using Plast X since you are going to be using it on glass, I would recommend a glass polish such as BlueMagic headlight lens restorer. Just do light coats and it shouldnt take off the clear coat. It can be purchased at walmart, autozone, schucks etc for about 4.99

niteshades is about 8.99/can
the polishes are about 4.99-7.99 each
clear coat about $3.99/can

should be able to do it for around 30-40 bucks

i know its not the best pic, but its the only one i could find but i have my foglights tinted on my f150, you cant really seem them from any more than five feet away

i used vynil smoke film that i bought off ebay, it was pretty easy to install too. However i pulled it off of them last night because a spot about the size of a quarter had turned brown i guess from the bulb. Keep in mind its been on there for over a year and i drive with my fogs on alot.

this is what it looked like when they were on, if you looked at the lense itself, it looked foggy but the light output was still great
