LoneRanger do u have any info on the cargo lights being dimmily lit all the time, it only happens at night though
I've noticed in this thread people having problems with LEDs continuously glowing after the truck is off

https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...s-glowing.html

I think I remember seeing somewhere people were having conflicting issues with the automatic headlights, if yours only gives you an issue at night are you running the automatic headlight feature? I have no idea if this leads to anything but it might be a start!

*edit, found another thread with the same deal your having, seems they just stuck a resistor on the positive lead of the third brake light bulb

I'd be interested to see how ya stick those resistors in and which ones work, seems like it's the same fix for the cruise control issue I'm having on mine

I don't foresee how a dimly lit LED will drain your battery just overnight, but I don't wanna see ya get screwed if I'm wrong, I'd just take out those cargo lights for the time being maybe, or throw the old unit back in if it's going to be a while till the fix comes

The LED light use far less juice than the stock lights which is why you get the fast blink. The circuit senses very little current draw and thinks a bulb is out. Those cargo lights on all night wont drain the battery unless it is weak. Should not be a problem.

Lights look real clean, nice choice

My cargo lights and interior lights "glow" when the truck is off. My truck has sat as long as ten days and no issues w/the battery. I'm not too worried about it plus the fact that I like the glow at night.

the led's only glow for a little while, they'll go out after a bit. ive got led's in EVERYTHING and have never had a problem with power drain on the battery. when i instaled my resistor's i think it was on the ground. to fix the fast blink thing i only had to put a risistor on ONE of my tail lights.

so tap both into the ground or 1 into the ground and the other into the power?

That's good to know, how did you end up splicing them in? And word on the street is that resistors have a history of generating alot of heat, is it really enough to be concerned from your setup?
