F-150 badge decal

Hey yall I have contemplating changing my F-150 badge to be black with chrome letters instead of the chrome background and black letters. However the parents are a little apprehensive about me spray painting while they are on my truck ... and same goes for attempting to take them off.

So I came up with the idea to ask patriot decals if they could help me out. They said they would be able to make a decal to cover the front of the badge so it is black background and chrome letters but the sides of the badge would still be chrome. Would that look bad? Or should I just stick with the chrome badge itself? Just looking for opinions. I don't have plans to totally black out the truck.

Going to get black Ford ovals soon as well if that makes any sort of difference.

Thanks,
-Barrett

I know, I remember reading your thread when you posted it. Read it enough times I could do it without going back and re-reading. But my parents are I don't know I guess a little spastic and think I will somehow get paint on my already black truck and mess it up....

Worst part is I went and bought a can of Krylon Fusion for a few things around the house and when I told them I was going to paint the emblems they said I couldn't

Haha stang thats a great idea, until they realize that something is different haha.

That may take them about a week and a half though.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I did mine when my parents weren't home, but when they got home, I was almost done, so my dad just accepted it and eventually came outside to help me out. Try talking to them. If not, just heed that "its easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission"
