Head/Fog bulbs

Want to get better/brighter lights for my head and fog lights. But dont want to blow the bank. Anybody ever tried these? Recommended?

Headlight bulbs: Link

Foglights: Link

Dont know much about bulbs, but i assume these will fit/work on an '08 F-150?

Thanks.

Edit - btw, what do the different "H#" things mean?

i have them now, several guys just bought some too. look in the silverstar thread and i got a pic of them in my truck at night. i am using the 9005 for the fogs though. i have had them since last june or july with no issues. they are way brighter than the silverstar bulbs, pure white, with a slight slight hint of blue when you stare into them

9140's come in the fogs. 9145's fit the same, usually slightly higher wattage.
9005's fit in the fogs with a little trimming of one of the tabs, usually 65 watts or something. Some people have had issues with them getting too warm in fog assemblies.

Bulbs came yesterday. Went out this morning to put em on and the Fog bulbs look nothing like the stock bulbs. I dont see how they could possibly go on there. The bottom(metal) bit below the bulb is different and their is also a wire coming out. Any ideas? Are these the wrong bulbs?

Going to try the heads now.

Well, the headlight bulbs fit just right, but one blew out as soon as i turned em on. Get what you pay for i guess. They do have 1 year warranty though.

I had asked what those numbers meant but nobody said anything. Guess i'm sol with those. So are the 9005 foglight bulbs the only ones that'll work for my truck? What are the 893, 894, 880 foglight bulbs? Thats all they have other then the H3's.

Doubt it but maybe they'll replace my H3's.

Thanks for the link ATOM.
