DDM (pics)

got some requests to see the hids i put on friday. -

well i installed my hids from ddm this weekend, and i ve got to say they are nothing but awesome so far.

i ordered the apexcone kit , but they sent me the slim ballast kit by mistake . no complaints though lol, the ballasts are smaller than the size of my palm. i would recommend the slim ballast kit just b/c they were so easy to mount/secure. i also would get the HI/lo bulbs , for $25 more you not only get high beams but they give you a wiring harness too, which is worth $25 alone.

so my order was.
heads:
slim ballast kit -H13 Hi/lo 5000k
Fogs:
slim ballast kit - H10 5000k

i honestly wouldnt get the fogs again , the headlights are plenty bright

i snapped some pics before i went out tonight. i think 5k is perfect, no blue, looks classy

sorry i didnt get any pics of the fogs , its 10 degrees here and i didnt have that much time lol

Hey IDNC, what wattage bulbs did you get? I was looking at DDM to get some ballasts, and possibly a full kit. How was the experience with them, other than them sending the wrong thing?

I agree...I just put the exact same kit (apexecone 5000K)in mine last week and they don't seem that blue. Probably just the camara playin tricks....

i just got the 35 watter , i dont think theres a need to get the 55 lol

overall, im pleased with them. the quality seems good or atleast better than my last set of hids (which looked just like the xenonlink kit) . shipping was a lil less than average, i ordered sat 2/14 and recieved them wed 2/25. the box could of been packed better, it looked like something i did

Pretty good deal, price is up there but looks like its worth it. How would you rate the install procedure time?

You said you wouldn't get the fogs again if you ordered. I'm really debating for a couple reasons. I use my fog lights every time I use my headlights. The little bit of extra light helps and I think the truck looks better with them on. However...I've read since the fog light housing doesn't have a cover for the bulb they will blind oncoming drivers. So I'm not sure here....how often did you use your fogs before getting the HIDs?

Dang apexcone is out of stock until mid-march. I was about to go ahead and pull the trigger on both since it's only a buck and a half...

Double post, but meh...you convinced me to pull the trigger. Since they're out of stock on the Apexcone I went ahead and got the slim ballasts. Got exactly the same setup as you since I also want just pure white. Slapped 3-day shipping on there, as well.
