Running Lights On Tool Box

Hey,

I would like to put 2 yellow running lights on each side of my truck box. I have 2 options that i am considering.

A:

Mount them on the side, and put them all out to a 4 Pin trailer receiver, run it under my truck, and then plug it in at the 4 pin.

or

B:

Mount them and run the wire into the electrical system and place a switch inside my cab to be able to turn them on and off from inside.

I would like to do A because it would be easier, but i want to do B because it would be nicer and i could use it while pulling 4 Pin trailers.

If i went with B, how would i do it? I know nothing about electrical and lighting systems.....

Thanks!

well the wiring in the box is sorta a mess right now ( long story behind that one ) but all i did was run a wire in the lip of the plastic bed caps to my running light positive wire for the tail lights. the box is bolted down well enough to make its own ground ( i used 4 bolts to hold mine in ) and i went from there, all the lights on the box are L.E.D. , i wouldnt do it any other way, but hey, thats just me

Alright, i bought all my stuff today, but its rather cold so im going to do it another time, im going to run the wire out of my box to my tail light and hook them up there, and have a quick disconnect in case that i ever take the box out.

Thanks!

Ill post some pics and make a write up when im done because there is nothing online about doing this

Wire them to a trailer 4 pin plug and run it back to your trailer plug in.
