hid help please!!!!

ok guys this is my first post and i need some help, i bought a h13 bixenon kit from will at xenonlink. went online and printed off the instructions and tried to install them. my problem is that the driver side will not light up, ive tried swithcing bulbs side to side, switching ballasts, wiring harnesses side to side, switching the diodes, switching the jump connectors, all with no luck, i think it might be a problem with the relay harness but im not too familiar with the hid thing and figured id give u guys a shot, i have been tring to get ahold of wiil for about a week now and he wont return my calls or my pm's you guys are my last chance before i send em back and try a different kit which i dont want to do cause the side that does work looks killer.

if u guys have any suggestions i would greatly appreciate them,or if you need more info please let me know

the driver side is the side that i have the open connector on and that is the side that i am having trouble with, im not sure i got all the harnesses that i should have but i got the main relay harness and basically two of everything else in the kit the laast picture of the install instructions shows relay harness install and the one connector looks to have a blue end on it which connects the factory harness to the relay harness i dont have any harness with a blue end on it so i used the one from the kit which is the same as the one on the other side. i dont know if i need another type of harness or if this is not the problem,

hope i didnt confuse anyone with my description but you can peply to this thread, pm me or email me at Redroach85@aol.com if you need more info or have any suggestions

hope someone out there can help me out im not to happy right now Thanks for your time guys

HIDs are a very bumpy subject. Of the 10 or so I have installed, the first few times are really frustrating. Either you like it when they work or you hate it when they dont.

Try this:

The one connector that plugs into the light socket, try switching to the other side.

Also check your fuses.

Are the hi/lo beams working on the side that lights up?

Raptor, i just got off the phone with will and he thinks it is the relay harness he is sending one out today i checked the fuse in the relay harness and it was good i didnt check any other fuses because if i put my stock bulb in it works, the hi/lo works but it seems to be backward so i tried the diode thing but that didnt help and i also tried switching the socket pigtails with no luck,

thanks for the help and ill keep u posted on how i make out, til then back to the waiting game come on ups man!!!!!!!

when you change diodes make sure you do it to both sides as well. I had an issue with mine not firing the first time through. Then I took it all out plugged it all back together and whatever it was I solved it that time through. But if Will thinks it is the relay harness odds are that is what it is. He knows his products very well. Hope you get it figured out if you need more help just let us know be more the glad to offer any assistance I can. I have the same kit in mine and love it.

It *might* be the relay but somehow I doubt it. It could be one of the wires inside of it that may be causing the problem, but somehow I just dont see one working and not the other. Oh well, I'll just wait and see.

Let us know, I always love learning stuff even if I'm wrong.

Contact me when you receive the relay. I'll walk you through it and figure out where the problem is coming from.

heres an updateon the hids i got a new relay harness from will and the lights are working but i have a few questions maybe someone can help me with

first should the metal piece on the hid bulb be on the bottom when it is in the headlight
second should the bixenons be moving up and down or side to side the reason i am asking is because ive seen some pics of other guys headlights and they have clear and defined lines where the lights start ande stop my fogs seem to be fine but my headlights seem to be scattered all over the place on high and low beams the lights also move right and left which it seems to me that they should be moving up and down for the hi and lo beams any help or suggestions would be great thanks guys

Ok, first when installed the Bi-Xenon should move up and down. Don't position the bulb according to that metal piece on the hid bulb. Each bulb's metal position is placed differently.
Remember this, the bulb will move up for high beam and move down for low beam. Let me know if you have other questions.
