Should I Keep Painting?
So does the molding simply just pull off? As in, there is no holes left behind (like the badges have)? Just 3m type adhesive?
Just wondering as I may try this too... then again, after 10 years, won't there be a shading problem from the sun? Thanks

also would like to know!
I used a heat gun to warm everything up really good and then just pulled them off with my hands, they bent badly so they arent reusable. After they were off I used the heat gun again to help remove the sticky adhesive tape that was left over and then I scrubbed the areas with Goo Gone, washed my truck and no there is no shade difference in the paint at all, 12 Year old truck. I'll for sure post a pic this weekend.
Rather than starting a new thread, does anyone know what to fill this hole in my grill surround with? I know it's small and hard to see in this pic but it's there. I krazy glued backing behind it and I have touch up paint for when it's filled but just not sure what to use. Fiberglass repair kit? I think it's made of plastic but not sure. Thanks.
i think you should be alright just putting bondo in the hole if there is a bottom to it.
is that a crack or a scratch running off of it? if its a scratch just fill with bondo, smooth things out and add your touch up paint. if thats a crack then id go fiberglass and put a patch from the top to the bottom clear across that entire run.

You use just Bondo(dont use that crappy brand, use Rage or 3M) on it and it will just crack again
Thanks for posting the pics and info - I'm still a little worried about the shading issue being I have the deep wedgewood blue paint, but I figured I'll just start with one of the rear doors that has a smaller trim piece. I'll post pics if all goes well sometime this week. Then again, it did snow again today so maybe I'll wait until it's warmer
