98 grille help

So why does it say when you look at aftermarket grilles that it is for a 99 and up and it only fits the honeycomb style? Why cant it fit the diagonal style grille?

Ford changed the front end in the f150's in 99, so you need to find one for 97-98.

What exactly are you looking for? Mine was a PITA to find. Almost 90% of the grilles you see are for 99+ because Ford enlarged the grille and changed the bumper.

The only one I found for my 98 was Carriag Works. The 97/ 98 has a smaller opening with a flat bumper. The later models have a dip in the bumper, with larger grill.
