How close are 9007 and 9008 Headlight Bulbs?

I'm probably going to regret asking this, but how close do you think the 9007 and 9008 bulbs. Lighting sucks on the Bronco, and I have a whole bunch of HID's laying around now. I was thinking that since they are only one number off from each other, that maybe its just length or something. I'll find out for sure this weekend, but was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads.

Not at all. 4WP gave me wrong ones one time (I have 9008) and the 9007 didnt fit plug wise.

Imagine that 4WP screwing up an order

Was it just the plug, or did they not lock into the headlight too? I have no problem changing the ends if that's the only problem.

9007 and 9008

The only differnce is the prongs inside the plug itself. I just bought for mine and thats what the guy showed me. Maybe he was full of crap !!! The one had one plastic prong and the other had 2. ( used to snap inside the harness plug) hope that helps

If you are hell-bent on getting those bulbs working, you can pull off the connectors and manually add the wires to the proper prongs. You risk shortage and fire and a number of other things here, but it IS possible.
