Lights behing Grille

I just got some 130W off road lights and I was wanting to put them behind my grille but someone told me they would get too hot and mess up my grille and I dont want to do that because I have a brand new precison billet grille. Would it be okay to put behind the grill or bad idea?

if the grille is metal- go for it.

130W will melt plastic. make sure the wiring is at least .14 gauge to handle the load.

plz use the search feature, there are so many threads on this topic.

I have a Carriage works billet grille and a set of 100W Driving lights. They are still far enough behind the grille.
