Window Tint Matching

The shop I wanted to go to is using Solar Guard HP charcoal tint. Does anyone know if the color will match the factory tint? Whatever I decide on it's going to be 20% on the front two to match the back. I don't know how bad the cops are in SA, TX so I figure that percentage though not legal probably wont be noticed. The shop said they haven't had any complaints using the charcoal tint on newer F150's.

I don't know the answer to your question about the Solar Guard matching, but thought I'd chime in about the 20% to match. If I'm correct the factory rears are 18% stock. I literally just had mine tinted Monday and I did 15% on the front windows and it matches very well. Since the light coming in from the windshield hits the front windows more than the rear, they will appear lighter. I say go 15%!

15% here and I wish I'd have gone lower:

i got 20% it matches ok with the back doors, but 15% is the closest you can get. i'm gonna do 2% on the back 2 windows soon, i hate it not matching. if i could buy oem bare glass for the rear doors, i would and tint them all the same.

I have 20%, hardly any difference from 15%. The largwe windshields on these trucks allow for more light to fill the interior. Not sure if it will 100% match because OEM is true black, not charchol like all film tint basically is. Mine looks only a tad lighter in cloudy light, otherwise its just fine.

I think the tint I have on is Solar Guard HP, and it's 20% for the fronts. On a very sunny day, you might see that it doesn't fully match if you look at it from the right angle, probably because of the windshield, as others have said. All the other times, it'll match and no one will notice. I mean, if you can, go for the 15% but I don't know how much difference that would make.

Other than that, no complaints so far. And it was only 60 bucks for the 2 fronts

I got the windows tinted. It is 3M 30% all the way around. The guy said he would do 20% but on the side of town I live most of the inspection sites won't pass me. I know it sometimes looks darker in pictures but it really does look pretty dark even in person. I guess its because of the black interior. The first picture is what it looked like before the tint.
Thanks for the input from everyone.
