The orange color from the late 70's F-Series. Was it called "Salmon"?

Truck Colors
My 1997 Supercab was DarK Torredor Red, not sure about all trucks from the 70's. I custom ordered a 1975 F-150 XLT 4X2 with every option in the Ginger Glow and Wimbleton White. Other color options that year include Raven Black, Wind Blue, Chrome Yellow, Bahama Blue, Vineyard Gold, Parrot Orange, Sequoia Brown Met, Midnight Blue Met, Candyapple Red, Glen Green, Jade Green Met, Med Green Glow, Baytree Green, Hot Ginger Met, Viking Red, Hatteras Green Met, and exclusive Econoline colors of Med Ginger Glow, Brook Blue Met, and Autumn Tan.
Just as an added FYI, I paid $5192.11 before TTL including $350.00 transportation. Some of the option costs include; A/C was $383.64, 360 c.i.V-8 was $142.45, Amp & Oil Gauges (still had the idiot lights too) = $15.00, and $25 for factory undercoating. |

Oh, and then back in about 03' or 04', they had this color called Medium Sage Green (at least on the F250 / 350's) ! That was freaking sweeter than $#!+ too ! Maybe my pick for a 4wd, and / or outdoors'y kind of truck.Fish

SMOKESTONE! Awesome color. Easy to keep also! Wish they would bring it back in the new trucks.
I also really like black when it is clean. |
I Love my Chesnut Get alot of compliments on it also

I'm a little biased but...............
My favorite color is Oxford White with the DSG lower accent color found on FX4's. Combined with the luxury package that has the dark headlights, PTM door handles, and PTM mirror caps it looks great. Throw a set of OEM Harley tinted tails and an FX2 grille and they are just plain sexy! |
White sand is pretty, It looks all elegant rolling down the road. Everytime I see a limited I just think it looks fantastic.

Hey KingRanchCoy....
There we go ! That Chesnut is an absolutely beautiful "truck" color ! :-)
Peace, Fish |
White!! The only color you need a pair of shades to look at it once waxed and a dream keepin clean..
|
Well I'm obviously partial to Bright Red, but my buddys oxford white FX2 looks banging, love that color on an f150, and I'm also a fan of dark blue pearl
|
I'm biased as well, but here's some shots of my favorite color.. Both dirty and clean, it still looks good! ;)

The bright red was by far the best. If kept well it looked so friggin gorgeous.
https://www.f150online.com/galleries...760-189758.jpg But the top 5 best colors in order are: (IMHO) 1) Bright Red 2) Dk. Amthyst Pearl (Ford shouldnt have discontinued this color) 3) White Sand 4) Onyx Black 5) Chesnut |
I wish they still had the Deep Wedgewood Blue with tan two tone... That was and still is my favorite color. Looks insane with some deep chrome wheels.
