How do you remove chrome?
How do you remove the chrome from the grille shell and caps? Sanding? Is there a chemical? I want to paint them the same color has the truck.

i used an adhesion promoter/primer & then painted over my chrome on my bumpers. not professional, but good enough for me.

It is best to have those pieces professionally painted to match by a painter with a real paint gun, but you can achieve great results by yourself. Sand and prime and paint it good, clear it good.
From my past experiences, REMEMBER TO WIPE DOWN ALL PIECES BEING PAINTED WITH AN ALCOHOL SOAKED RAG AFTER SANDING!!!!! THEN DON'T TOUCH THE PIECE WITH BARE HANDS TILL AFTER YOUR CLEAR COAT IS CURED!!! Doing so will result in "fish eyes"....Paint doesn't like oils!!! It is best to find somewhere to remove and hang the piece up where you have access to all sides of it once you are ready to prime and paint!!
