To the OP:

If you like them, get them. Don't worry about what these guys think.

If you are getting them only to try and impress people, this thread might give you an idea of what a lot of people think.

That's not what he's talking about, neons are like... blue light that glow from under your truck. Not to help out with night visibility, or activities for true men like off roading. It's for trying to look cool in front of Civics...

I love how you guys bash this guy for wanting under car neon but on another thread here a guy wants camo interior and camo siding on the outside of his truck and you are all for it. I'd rather have under car neon then some hideous redneck camo on/in my vehicle.

We're just voicing our opinions, which is what the internet and forums are all about for the most part....

^^^I agree, until someone wants to do something different.

I'm not tring to start a battle by any means I just find it funny. This forum IMHO has a heavy southern influence and anyone that tries to do anything not that style gets abused fairly quickly.

I would disagree. This place does have a huge southern/right wing/religious influence, and when you voice against it, they will tell you how they feel. Abused ? Its an online forum man. To expect anything less is ignorance. There are low riders, frame scrapers, lifted trucks, and a mix of all kinds. When you come into ANY truck community, and talk about rice equipment, and adding stuff that is deemed "rice" then your asking for trouble. It like wearing a 49ers jersey into the Raiders stadium. Just asking for it. Just my opinion. I am from northern CA, not southern anything.

Ignorance? It has nothing to do with Ignorance.

I understand don't get me wrong but either way it's biased.

That's all, this doesn't need to go on as I agree with the "Rice" stuff anyway. Again, I just think it's funny the majority point of view on this board whether it's an actual representation or not of people's opinions. That's all I was trying to make a point of....Nothin more.

not saying your ignorant. Just that, to expect a large group of people, such as an online forum, to do anything different.... well, it isn't gunna happen. I would get bashed to hell, going into a rice forum, asking about my truck. Or how to make my civic more "off-road" capable. Thats all i meant, nothing against you, just against people and how they act, especially online.

I have the multi-colored led's under my truck. It puts out a soft glow, and have gotten a large amount of complements of them. The streetglow kit comes with 4 bars, 2 long and 2 short. It is plenty for a shortbed screw. Plus, with the LED's, if the case breaks they leds will keep on shining. They are extremely easy to install, just use zipties, and the load they pull is next to nothing because they are led. I have pics somewhere, but i cant access them at school.

Oh, and according to texas law. Any color underglow is perfectly legal as long as you cant see the bulb, and it isnt flashing. I have had mine for almost 8 months now and have driven with them on in many places. Passing cops, at traffic lights, everything. Have not been pulled over one single time.

If you like them, go for it. You will be happy. With all the complements I recieve I wouldnt hesitate to put them on again.

The biggest thing to remeber with under car neon/ led's is that I shouldn't be able to see the tube directly under the car. It is all about the glow they put out. If you can see the tubes it just looks retarded.

Most kits give you mounting brackets for the tubes. The easiest and fastest way is to buy zip ties that have a loop at the top for putting a screw through that you can mount right to the underside of your truck. Buy black as they are made for the outdoors.
