Question Black bumper

i got a stock bumper thats chrome and i want to make it gloss black.. should i paint it or buy a new bumper and if so ,, where do i buy a new one..

hELP!!

i dont know about painting chrome......ive seen it done but also ive heard that it has gone really bad.....im sure someone else knows more than i do about this

i got mine powder coated to match the paint . cost $150, it matches perfectly, lemme see if i can find a pic

That bumper looks great IDNC76 -

What type of shop does powder coating like that? I've asked about painting my chrome bumpers at my regular body shop, and said he couldn't do it.

thanks, go to google and do a search and throw in your zip code. the guy i found , had his shop out of his home garage, i was skeptical at first, then did some research, and it turns out he does custom choppers and what not.

Thanks - just did as you said with a google search, and found a powder coating outfit nearby - going to have to stop by to see if they can color match my DSG or not.

do it , looks so much better PTM than the chrome bumpers

I got my front bumper painted black and it still looks great. the shop who painted it guaranteed it for 5 years. so thats good enough for me.

My local shop said they have a grey that is identical to DSG. Im having mine done in the near future as soon as my wheels are done!

do you guys know anybody who power coats in the san diego - murrieta area. I want my chrome bumpers to be the dark shadow grey
