Wow!! This company gets right to business. I've been tracking the order i made yesterday, the cover is coming from CA, and it's already at my post office and i'll get it tomorrow. CA to NH in less than 2 days, sweet deal.

I'll say. I ordered on Tuesday and got mine on Friday. USPS wasn't showing tracking updates, so he pre-emptively emailed me to say that if the tracking didn't update by Friday, he was sending another out. Luckily, it came today (I think we all know how horrendous USPS tracking is) and installed in 5 minutes. Looks great, fits great, price was right. Thanks Pierre!

Hmm, i never had any trouble with USPS tracking. Except for the fact that i request email updates and never get them, so i have to go to the site manually and track it, no big deal though (maybe i've just been lucky). Glad you like it though, i'm looking forward to getting mine.

I hear ya man, i wish the two piece covers fit our trucks, i think it would of went great with my wheels. But like you said, oh well. I like the one piece design as well so it works for me.

Might be a dumb question, but will this color blend perfectly with a Black truck or will it be a different shade of black? I love the looks but do not want two different shades of black.

It won't be a match. It's a powder coat, so it'll be slightly "flatter" than the gloss black on your truck. If you have black powder coated wheels, it'll match that.

The alternative is to go with the line grain (brushed aluminum) or the "high polish" - depending on what trim you have for door handles, grill, bumper, step bar etc.

Purely cosmetic, unless you get the one with the lock, then it is cosmetic and security.

Sorry to ambush this post, but does anyone know where I can get a polished black fuel door for my 2006 F-150? I checked with Solid By Design and he does not make one. Seems every site I look at only has chrome. I really like the design of these, but it does not appear they are available in poilshed black, just the flat black and I don't know how good that will look.

Anyone have a Black truck with the flat black finish fuel door they can post a picture of?

I recall reading a thread awhile back of an '05 having its fuel siphoned, so it must be possible. The filler neck is real thin but still plenty of space to fit a tube down.
