Dash Trim

i have an 2005 lariat

i would like to get rid of the wood trim, and get the Fx4's brushed aluminum trim.

question is: would it be better to use oem parts or has anyone had any experience with dash kit overlays ?

check this one out: i wouldnt use all the fugly 34 pieces, just the ones to cover up the wood trim, but i dont see any pieces for the door panels

Its always best to stay with OEM quality parts whenever possible.

I would agree with Darren. But if it's not with in your budget then you could try the overlays. But if you think about it, they are just stickers and you could be taking the chance of them peeling off later.
