Now that I said that, all the other Texas kids are going to come in here screaming that they can have strobes and lights because daddy has them.
You better take them off, jeepin is the only guy allowed to have any lights on his truck.

Anyways, the reds might get you some trouble. Can you turn them off or are they wired to the parking lights? And the easiest way to find out is to stop by the local exxon and ask the cops when they are there. Most of the time they are cool enough to give you an honest answer on what they will allow.

Lol, jeepin always gets pissy about any type of lighting that could be confused with emergency. lol

Anyways, my strobes came in real handy yesterday. My friends family had a flat tire and the tire iron would only fit 3 off the lugs. So my friend and I jump in my grab the tool box, spare, and jump in my truck. It turned out that they were on the side of the most dangerous highway in texas, lol. I started with just my flashers on, but people just ignore those and keep wizzing by. So his dad (who is a sheriffs deptuty) said turn on your rear strobes. It was amazing how much more the people actually pay attention to you and will change lanes. I made our jobs alot easier of trying to break the bootleg lugnut loose, lol.

Sorry for the thread jack

I can see why he gets "pissy" I feel the same way. When you work in the line of business we do the last thing you want associated with you is some punk *** kid driving around like a jackass with strobes that can confuse the general public. Better yet some pervert utilizing lights to pull women over and rape them. I'm NOT accusing any of you of the previous!! However I'll be the first to not only write you a ticket but make you remove them on the spot. We're not just grumpy mean *** people, there is a method to our madness and they are illegal for a reason!

I dont see how you can make me remove them on the spot. I could see a ticket, and a fix it ticket. But having a guy rip them out, doesnt sound plausible. And if it came down to it, I would have my truck towed away, then rip apart my heads/tails on the side of the road with some cop on a powertrip.

I know when to and when not to use them. And dont take the cop comment wrong, I have some really good friends that are cops and like almost all of them in my town. However, there are those few. For instance, 2 days ago one officer made us leave my friends resteraunt for some reason. The kid whose parents owned it was there, but he made me and my 2 other buddies leave. The two cops he was with were cool about it and asking about my underglow, they just wanted to see if we were supposed to be there, but the other cop flipped out and started yelling I think he was mad because I wouldnt let him search my truck. I have nothing in there and didnt feel like some cop rummaging through my entire truck. Then the tint prevented him from snooping through my windows. He wanted to bust us for something, but we wernt doing anything wrong.

Looks good mark...and I don't think the cops would mess with you for the most part. But you are in Houston???...if so, then you're screwed since Houston is a whole 'nother ballgame. All of my pals in the customizing game can't stand it down there since they'll ticket you for even thinking about tinting your windows, lol...

Up here in N TX a lot of people from all genres of customizing and tuners have HID's, LED's, strobes, etc., and for the most part we don't have any issues with the Johnny Law. If anything, they don't let you drive with them on and make you park to use them. HID's and halos usually aren't a problem while driving, but anything vivid (i.e. not normal to them lol) like strobes or bright colors are just a ticket-money magnet.

But as far as aesthetics, they look good. Where did you get them and how much? I'm about to add 6000k halos on my HD-style headlights, plus HID's in both heads and fogs - 10k up top and 3k on bottom. Photos will be coming soon... Let me know how much trouble you get in with these within the first week.....
