what would you think about this??

Have you looked into things like the Line-X (or is it Rhino) that has the light spray on, with color match ?
It will be tough and take a beating (like bumpers often do) and will last. Just another thought to throw out there. I've thought about doing something like this, along with maybe the rocker panels. Not sure though, would need to see some more pics of it.
No need to be a *** clown.
Painting chrome bumpers isn't that hard. But I guess thats why I'm a painter and your not. BTW I own my own custom shop.

You guys are hilarious. I'm not sure which of you got offened at whom, but I know I got offended just reading it.
Funny thing is, Patrick made a jab and no one was offended at it!

someone give this man a tissue
if its not that hard, then why would fish chris have had such a hard time getting people to even consider it???
i wasn't offended bc i dont really care what people say or do. maybe its my "brass *****"
wether im new to the site or not doesnt make any less of a member. and does not limit how i react to things. im me and thats not gonna change. if youre going to act like a dumba$$ then im gonna treat you like a dumba$$. im not saying you personally were, thats just my general way of doing things
What I do is rough up the bumpers with a D.A, with 120 grit sandpaper. Dont sand through the chrome. Then apply some self etching primer sealer. Then some primer surfacer if needed for small pits or scratches, wet sand with 400 gt. Re-primer with self etching primer sealer again then paint.
I've had no peeling issues or rust with that system. Only thing is rock chips but you'll get those anyway.
But Line-X is probably your best option.
I know a lot of people here will blast me for this. So flame away.

so do you think the rhino liner or Line-x would be a better option? i dont really mind if its not glossy. i was looking to make them satin black or something similar to match the handles and what not
**** and GTFO noob
He was offering helpful advice to someone else who posted in THIS thread about painting the damn chrome. He was trying to help him before he makes a mistake. Don't be so quick to make enemies new guy.
Just because he wasn't talking to you, doesn't mean you need to whine. Calm down little man.
