so in preperation for the upcoming altitude change https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=337765 i ordered some black nerf bars. they arrived yesterday and today i had a chance to put them on. the bracket for the rear was too tall so i had to bend the bottom of the body a little. and there is no brace to go from the steps to the body so it flexs more than it should. so this weekend im going to get some flat stock, bend it up and bolt it to the body.

Looks good, you need to get rid of the chrome grille and get black heads.

thanks alot, its a work in progress but i like how its turning out. as for the black bumpers,lights and grille surround i love a blacked out truck but i think just a little chrome is nice. besides from what ive been reading on other threads its a pain in the **** to go from chrome to black.

 

they are the summit brand. 191 shipped to my door. they are decent quality. the bracket for the rear of the bar was larger than the space the truck had so i just bent down where the body comes together in a lip. also there is no brace from the steps to the frame so it flexes with my 240# butt on them. gonna go to ace and whip something up this weekend to support them better.
