i have thought about that. i would imagine it's about the same amount visible as a HD grille.

i looked in bgf150's gallery and you couldn't see the radiator, but it may have been the light.

in an effort to get a better idea of what it would look like, I taped off the bars with some electrical tape. not the greatest representation, but whatever. I think I'll be doing this mod soon.

Well ya' know....

as far as being able to see the radiator easier, because of the larger gaps between the bars, I honestly don't think this will be near so much of a problem "as long as you leave the bars chrome"..... but as soon as you make them black, especially if it's satin or flat black, then regardless of how wide your bars, or the spaces between them are, your radiator will become WAY more visible.

I think I'd be tripping on this even more than I am "IF" my radiator wasn't already totally visible, with the crappy factory black honeycomb grille. So in this respect, at least I won't be making anything worse than it was already, by painting my chrome Roush, black :-)

Peace,
Fish

If you are going to cut every other bar, I highly recommend cutting the bars that are chrome in your electrical tape pics.

This way, the grille doesnt look like it is "floating". The top and bottom bars will be touching the surround and will look MUCh better in my opinion.

I just dont know if there are any structural problems with that...

if i did that, it would have a different arrangement than the HD grille, which is what i'm going for. check out the photochop on page 2.

i think its looks pretty sweet with every other bar blacked out. for those who arent brave enough to actually cut the grille i think that could be an alternative. maybe not for the HD look, but just to be different

ok so quick question.

I know that there is a braket/ford emblem for the roush/chrome edition grill, right? Well how does it attach? Would it still mount with the bars cut out? Because then you would have an affordable HD grille right?

maybe this is retarded, i dont know, never seen the bracket. just let me know.

i did it and didn't like it. from a distance it looked pretty sweet, but you could CLEARLY see right through it. i ended up getting a billet grille instead.

i realize you might not like em but do you happen to have any pics? did it look like the harley? could you have attached the ford emblem or did cutting the bars eliminate that as an option?

i know its alot of questions but thanks!
