I was so pissed that I had to throw the sticker away
I almost had the same problem, luckily the detailer here in the shop stopped me before I started.

Use soap and water. Put it in a spray type bottle and do some light sprays on the F150 badge. Make sure its nice and clean, then apply the sticker. The soap and water will make it so you can move the sticker around a little bit and get it lined out. Then use a flat tool to get allt he air out.

If you have the newer badges with the raised "FORD" in the, its a real b**** too. Good luck. I ended up throwing both of mine away.

Thank god I wasn't the only one with the problem for the NBS emblem overlays. I ordered mine last week and got them in on Friday, they even sent me a free extra. I F'ed up all three of them. For one thing my front emblem already had the bubbling problem so it it was a real pain trying to smooth everything out. So I moved to the tailgate and almost got it but with the curvature of the emlbem and the raised letters I just could not get it on there staight and with no wrinkles or bubbles. Wish I would have thought of the soapy water first might have saved my decals. Anyhow does anyone know if there are aftermarket alternate color emblems that are actual replacements and not decals for the 04+ trucks?

I had a nasty air bubble in my tailgate one but poked a hole in it with my name tag and pushed all the air out and closed up and now you cant see it anymore.

Also got some white F-150 badge inlays from patriotdecals today. White and chrome baby. If those are the same method, I'll be using the soap and water trick, but I hope the soap and water dosen't screw up the stickers ability to stick. I might acetone the black off the badges before I put the white on them.

The soap and water wont do anything to stop the sticker from sticking ! Outta be fine. Just don't soak it, make it a light spray.

Also use a think, flat, straight peice of rubber, will help smooth out the sticker, get rid of air bubbles, and push out any extra water/soap.

Nope, soap and water will work fine. We do it all the time at work for our labels/decals. Get as much of the liquid out as possible once positioned and it'll be fine.

Yea i have the raised lettering on my emblems so even when I get close, but not perfect, you can see the lettering underneath popping threw. Its so aggravating!! I did spray water on it but i didnt use soap. I kinda want to take it to a decal sho[ or something and just have them do it, but if its gunna be expensive id rather not. I didnt use soap last time, do you think that makes a big difference?
