Neuspeed5, you said Funny thing is though, I'm ususally the last one to follow fads. Typically when the crowd goes one way, I go the other :-) One things for sure, I've seen a lot of blacked out vehicles, but I've never seen a Stone Green one...... And personally, I like that thought :-)

Sammystud, interesting opinion. Ya' know, before I ever saw the color Stone Green, and before I saw BlackoutFX4's truck, I'd have said "blue" was too dark already, to be blacked out, and that black on black was too "monotone"....
And I would have picked colors like white, yellow, silver, red, to be the best choices for blacking out.
Since then, however, I have seen BlackoutFX4's bad-*** truck, I've seen dark blue, blacked out, and I've seen Stone Green (through the miracles of photoshop) blacked out, and now I've come to believe that the blackout theme can, apparently, work with pretty much any main body color.

Anyway, like I've said before, I have no problem with "pretty trucks"..... but how about "pretty girls" and "tough, mean, bad-*** looking trucks" ? :-)

My truck is chrome but still like both looks. Its your own preferance.

Hey F150FXOnline, although some have said that blue works well with the blacked out theme, I honestly don't think your truck could look "prettier" than it does ! No doubt chrome was the best choice for your truck. And Like I have said, I definately like the "pretty" trucks too :-)

In fact, here's an idea..... Maybe I'll just get two F150's.... One pretty, flashy one, and one tough, mean looking one :-) Like you F150FX, I really do like both looks.

I am so freaking torn ! Those chrome DEJ's look SOOOO freaking nice ! Cannonball, your killing me with these photoshops ! (thank you though :-)

......and while the cost of the chrome wheels would be like like $300 more (than with most of the black wheels) I'd save $400, by not having to get the bumpers and grill surround painted, and another $200 by going with stock (not blacked) headlights. Plus, it would just be WAY less work....

But whatever the cost, or the amount of work, I just need to decide, then make it happen.

I guess the 10K question is, do I;

A) Go with a chromed out, flashy, pretty truck {that the majority of the people will like the most anyway} or....

B) Go with a blacked out, tough, mean looking truck {that a bunch of us certainly like}

Urggg.... I like then both !

Here is a pic of my truck, will try and take a better one, can't right now it's raining. I don't have alot of chrome, most of it came on the truck when I bought it. I wasn't that thrilled with it when I got it and planned on taking it off, but now I really like it........

 

my vote is for the blacked out and painted to match version, but thats just me

 

I'm just about there myself. As nice as I think the chrome looks (especially on my Stone Green) I can drive down the main street of my town and see 5 chromed out trucks, on any given day.
I think one gets to a point where they say, "Oh. That's nice"..... but just kind of in a ho-hum way.

Where as, I think a blacked-out Stone Green F150 will draw a BUNCH more attention.... some totally positive, and some totally negative, but love it or hate it, it won't be "just another flashy, pretty truck, among the hords of flashy pretty trucks". {and again, to anyone with a flashy, pretty truck, please don't take this as a slam. If I didn't like the pretty ones like I do, I wouldn't be beating myself up so much, over this decision !}

Cannonballgsu, if I may ask 1 more favor, (if you have access to a useable shot of the black ATX Thug wheels, and its not too much trouble) can you please do 1 more photo shop of those ? Oh, and did you use 18" or 20" black XD's ? I'm going to be going with 18" black Thugs, and 34" BFG AT tires....

Again, I sure appreciate all of your help, and everyones opinions on the matter.

Thanks guys, doesnt really matter to me. Also it depend on your areas and trucks. If your in texas im sure you will see a lot of chrome trucks. Here were I live you dont see many Pimped out trucks. Grin SO I still get many compliments on my truck.

Hey Fish Chris what color truck is it you have? I dont think Ive seen any or many that color. For some reason the black on that color looks mean!
I'll be honest if I had to pick a black truck I like best yours would be it "so" far and Ive seen a lot in the forums here. But again thats just me.

Ive made a few more mods on my truck. I added the Ford Emblem on the front grill and bought a 4x4 emblem I havnt put on yet. I'll post pics in my gallary next week.

I say keep it like you have it now. We can always trade trucks for a week at a time and have the best of both worlds!!

I do like cannonballgsu rims too. But really like the all black look. Plus you already have them and dont need to spend any more money. hehehe

 

i'm not 100% sure but I think the wheels are 18's. I have 18's on my truck and the tire height looks the same. I'll fiddle around with the other wheels later on tonight if my GF will let me she wants some attention

 

Fish Chris I just read in another thread breifly you dont have a tuner. Not only would your truck look mean but back it up with the tuner power!!

Hands down dude its night and day differant from the stock truck!!!!
