Show me some black bumpers.....

and PTM's on black FX2's and FX4's, or Harley D's don't count.

I keep seeing "otherwise" blacked out F150's, with chrome bumpers ! Yes, I know F150's are not available from the factory with black bumpers (except the exceptions I listed above) but IMPO, that's what makes it even cooler to have black bumpers !!!

I know I'm going to make mine black ! I thought I could just switch them out with bumpers from an XL..... But upon closer inspection, the XL's don't have "black" bumpers either, but rather some kind of dark, slightly mettallic charcoal. I'll still try to get these instead of chrome though, as these will be easier to bead blast, and powder coat, than the chrome bumpers would.

If you have a blacked out vehicle with chrome bumpers, your not finished yet ! :-)

Let's see those black bumpers !

Peace,
Fish

I'm probably going to go with a front bumper from Cervini's and a roll pan off of eBay and just get them painted.

Any ideas on how to get my fender/tailgate emblems blacked out?

You can mask them off and paint them black. After you mask them off sand em down good so the paint sticks, I used 280 grit paper. Before sanding use some wax & grease remover to get off any wax or whatever else is on them so the paint doesn't fish eye.

I did mine, now I'm just waiting for the letter inserts from patriot decals to get here. When I get them done I'll post a couple of picks.

I have a FX4 so my bumpers are painted the same color of the truck(red). Been debating on whether or not to paint them black also.

Hey NASSTY....

your truck looks freaking sweet too ! I've always liked black vehicles of all kinds... It's just SO hard to keep clean.... but of course when it is, it's hard to top :-)

Peace,
Fish

NASSTY how much did that run you to get them switched? I'm wondering if the price difference is any better going one way over the other.

So a little later than I had hoped, but I took my truck to the paint shop this morning to get the roll pan and stock front bumper painted black. They have it over night, yikes. I'll post pics tomorrow!! =]
