Wood dash kits
The dealer installed a dash kit in my truck before I bought it, and I've been looking online and discovered kits that have alot more content to them. I have no idea what brand the kit I've got is, but does anyone know if the burlwood on most kits match or is it only really match in the same company?
Thanks guys.

Looked at all of the kits available out there. Considering the Brown and Tan colors on my Lariat, I went with a Factory match wood kit. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like the look.
It all done with adhesive tape. You have to be very careful to dry fit everything first. Then prep all surfaces with alcohol wipes. Then use an adhesive promoter especially on surfaces with texture. I was about a 4 hour install. Also the ambient temperature should be 80 degrees or warmer.
The key is in the prep work. Cleaning with alcohol and the adhesive promoter help ensure longevity. It has been exposed to freezing mountain temperatures in the winter and over 100 degree summer heat with no signs of lifting. I know this is not everyone's idea of how a truck interior should look, but it works for me and that's all that counts. To each his own. In my mind Ford did not do a good job with color coordinating the Lariat interior. They should have kept going with the wood look or eliminated it altogether
