There should be a way to keep the hooks on when you put a bull bar on? They do come in handy when your off roading.

Looks really nice! I'm considering the Westin sportsman grille guard for my rig. Are you happy with the quality from Westin? I'm between Westin, Waag and Go Rhino.

Yes i think Westin has an oustanding quality product. Im happy with mine.

And there is a way to keep your stock tow hooks, but you have to fab up a custom mounting bracket. There is another member that has done it here and posted pics and a "how to", but i didnt want to get that indepth with my install. If i ever want/need my tow hooks then i will have to fab something up, but im fine with it for now.

I know this thread is a few months old but does anyone know where this write-up is for fabricating a bracket for towhooks with a bull bar? (run-on sentence lol) I cant see taking my hooks off. Ive used them too many times while in a pinch.

Thanks

I have a 2008 Ford F-150. I'm looking to purchase a bull bar but I heard that when it is installed and you try to open the hood the grille hits the bull bar and your not able to open your hood is that true or no?

They have a certain amount of adjustment ..... never heard of one stopping the opening of the hood? I've looked at them, considered one to add some protection up front in parking lots.
