That's pretty much my approach too. But I logically say, "Think of all the time I save by not cleaning up the garage."

Good looking grill!

chazf150: I see that you did the same, but you also added extra fog lights... Which is my next approach.

Turned out really good.

What prep work was involved, and what paint did you use?

All i did was put it in my bath tub and filled it up with luke warm water and dish soap. This way it wil remove all the road oils and stuff. Then i took a brush or sponge and did a nice cleaning job. After that i picked it up with a towel so i didn't touch it and my oil from the skin didn't get on it. Then i let it dry for about 30 minutes in front of my pellet stove. Then i just painted it from every angle in every direction with about 3 coats (no runs). Then i put on a clear coat to prevent the paint from chipping in the furture. The brand of the paint was: Martin Senour Paints. It is Trim Black and part number 7244.... I bought mine at my local napa part store.

Cleaned & prep`d mine with some steel wool. Few coats of primer. They a few coats of black semi gloss (Krylon).

jbracket-good idea on the clear coat .I may have to do that.
