Emblem overlays/Fading plastic painted

With my Expy mainly going for the black and white theme, the Ford emblems in the front and back looked a little out of place with the Ford blue.

So after hearing some good reviews from the site patriotdecals.com on here, I decided to see what they had.

17 dollars(6.75 for each decal, and 3.50 shipping) and four days later (ordered Thursday, printed shippd the vinyls Friday, checked the mail Monday) I get them.

I got the gloss black background, white lettering (although in retrospect maybe chrome instead of white might have been a little better.)

The hardest part was actually lining the things up with the emblems.

But anyways, here's a before and after of the front emblem.

Before (flash used)

After

The only thing I'm worried about is how long the back one is going to last since I kept having to re-peel it since I couldn't get it straight.

Overall, I was happy with how they came out, so I also order some for my dad's F150, since it's a dark charcoalish color, the blue in the emblems doesn't go. This time, though I ordered black and chrome. I'll post those pics once I get the truck done this weekend.

Also doing some stealth bulbs on the 150, so going to see how that pans out. So, once the photos are up, this thread is going to be an "emblem overlay/stealth bulbs" review/thread/whatever you want to call it.

Update:
The emblem overlays for my dad's truck got here, and they're on.

Also, I painted the plastic piece between where the hood and windshield meet (name?) since it was faded, and had started to turn a dry, "chalky" gray color. I gotta say it turned out a bit better than I had expected. While I had the spray paint out, I also went for the bed rail caps, and the back tailgate handle as preventative measures (they were starting to go down the "chalky" route.)

Anyways, here's some pix.

Side view of the hood piece:

Front view:

Front Emblem Overlay (I know, dirty truck, lol)

Rear Emblem and painted handle:

Materials used:
2 cans of Krylon Fusion satin black spray paint
1 can of Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear, matte finish
Masking Tape
Something to wipe down the pieces you're going to paint (I guess Windex would work)
Clay bar (for if you get any over spray...don't ask)

The stealth bulbs finally came in today, but I won't go back down for another couple weeks, so that will have to wait.

Post up pictures

Meffects01 I'll look into it. For now, I'll try to keep them protected with some 303. Figured I'd try spray painting them first, instead of waiting for shipping. Instant gratification FTW.

I looked, they don't have it listed. Maybe email them and ask. Reading most of the threads, looks like they can do almost anything.
