I want to get a FX2 grille for my 06 FX4. I have the six piece chrome insert now, and all the pictures ive saw of the FX2 grill looks like they were put on over the Honeycomb grill. Just wondering if I can make it fit or just buy the seven piece billet.

Yes. To my knowledge, it is a complete grille replacement, NOT an overlay...your current grille must be totaaly removed and obviously will thus not be 'seen' behind' your new FX2 grille.

 

Oh, and I don't know if you've already found out where you plan to purchase it, but Tasca gets rave reviews on this board and has some of the best prices around, especially on FX2 grille ($208.95 plus s&h is $18) from all the reading/research I've done (I'm still on the fence of swapping out my honeycomb for the FX2...)

Here is the FX2 grille item number. I know that it fits the 2007 model, and pretty sure it fits the '04-'07 model years but I would still just call your local dealership to make sure that the item number is the same.

As a note the FX-2 grille is not chrome billet. The middle of the grille is primed so it can be painted. The Harley grille is probably the one that you want. That has the paint to match surround and the billet style insert. $325.12 plus shipping from www.TascaParts.com
